About Superkids

History of Superkids

Superkids was founded in 2004, at a time when my two daughters were still very young and I was navigating the daily realities of parenthood alongside a demanding career as a Marketing Manager for a global organisation.

Like many working parents, I experienced first-hand the pressure of commuting and worrying about leaving work on time to collect my children. During this period, I encountered childcare of varying quality — from settings that truly supported children’s wellbeing and development, to others that felt inconsistent, or impersonal. Those experiences had a lasting impact on me and became the catalyst for creating Superkids.

I strongly believe that high-quality childcare plays a vital role in children’s development. The care children receive outside of school should do more than simply fill time — it should help build confidence, independence, social skills, emotional resilience, and a genuine love of learning. Children thrive when they feel safe, valued, and understood, and when activities are thoughtfully planned to be engaging, age-appropriate, and inclusive.

From the very beginning, my vision for Superkids was to create a professionally run organisation that parents could completely rely on, while ensuring children experienced care that was stimulating, fun, nurturing, and consistent. We operate in school settings so children feel comfortable in familiar environments, and we plan activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, physical activity, and positive behaviour.

Equally important to me is ensuring that Superkids remains a personal service, even as we grow. Families are not just numbers — every child has individual needs, and every parent deserves to feel listened to and supported. I am committed to maintaining strong communication with families and schools, and to continually reviewing and improving our provision so it reflects what families genuinely need.

Looking ahead, my focus is firmly on quality over quantity. Future growth will always be carefully managed to ensure we never lose the values on which Superkids was built. This includes continued investment in staff training, high standards of safeguarding and organisation, and a strong emphasis on wellbeing — for both children and the staff who care for them.

I am particularly proud of our commitment to employing local staff who know the area and the schools, and who share my passion for childcare. Our team reflects the cultural diversity of the communities we serve, and we actively promote inclusion, respect, and positive role modelling in everything we do.

Superkids was created from real experience — as a parent, a professional, and a childcare provider. That perspective continues to guide my approach today and ensures that as we move forward, Superkids remains a trusted, high-quality childcare provider that families can depend on.
